Next weather update: it's raining!!!

Ok, so why this fuss about the mere fact that there is some water coming down from the sky? Well, it's obviously not about the precipitation itself, but about its state of aggregation!

This week has been the first I have seen actual rain in Oslo, not snow or sleet, this disgusting combination of snow and rain.

I know this doesn't look extremely exciting, but bear in mind: if it rains it must definitely be above the freezing point! So next to having water coming from the sky, all the snow and ice that's still left (you can see a tiny bit on the photo) will have to give up at some point and melt and finally disappear!

Or, let's phrase it differently: spring is coming! :) And this is definitely a reason to rejoice, since there was snow in the forecast for this week yet again (I think it was actually snowing a bit on Tuesday or so) - and the view out of my window still looks something like this:

Way to go!

In the end, the actual spring will probably coincide perfectly with my exam period. :P  However, in the meantime, I keep exploring Norway in "winter" (in April xD). So if you don't hear from me until next week, that's because I'm going to Bergen tomorrow!
