Unlike in Mannheim, Pride is not just a day or two here in Oslo, but a 10 day festival with an extensive programme. I guess that's the advantage of being the capital.
So from 22nd of June to 1st of July, Oslo Pride is happening. The website with all the infos is only in Norwegian, but according to Visit Oslo, it is "Norway's largest festival for the lesbian and gay population, with concerts, art exhibits, shows, film screenings, parties and political debates" and "consists of more than 150 small and large events". "Oslo Gay Pride's aim is to make gay culture visible and contribute to increased acceptance and respect for the gay part of the capital's diverse population."
Side remark: I'd wish they'd modify this a bit. Pride and diversity are not only about gay people, but about the whole spectrum of the rainbow community. :)
Anyway, so basically, the whole city is putting on rainbow colours this month, I feel. And I'm not talking about the rainbow in the Royal Palace Park, that's part of a permanent exhibition as far as I know. :P

Made me quite happy when I passed it after the gym. :) |
Clas Ohlson, a random Swedish store that I had never heard of before:

All profits from the sale of rainbow products go to Amnesty International! :) |
As a human rights activist for Amnesty International, a straight ally (a label I got last year at Pride in Mannheim), and a proud A graduate of BI's "Managing Workplace Diversity" course (still my favourite course), I of course had to support the good cause - and therefore got a rainbow power bank. :D
Unfortunately, I'll miss the big Pride parade on the 30th. However, I at least managed to go to Pride Art, Norway's biggest inclination exhibition. (I hope that's the right word for it; had to translate from Norwegian to German and then back to English...)
They had some really nice art in my opinion (and quite a bit of nakedness as well, but I mean, you can just ignore that if you're not into it). Enjoy. :)

The bottom right one is called "Happy Bergen". :) |

P.S. If you're wondering why I can't attend the Pride Parade, that's because I'm going on a trip to Copenhagen, Gothenburg, and Karlstad! (First world problems, I know. xD)
